Art throughout the entire county

Man painting at a plein air festivalThe Worcester County Arts Council serves a population more than 100,000 people a year by providing funds to local art organizations, Art Scholarships for local students, annual Summer Arts Camp for children, Paint Berlin Plein Air, and art classes, workshops, and special events.

The Arts Council Gallery, located in historic Berlin, showcases artwork by local artists including paintings, photography, ceramic and glass sculpture, handcrafted jewelry, fiber art, and mixed media. Also in Berlin's Arts & Entertainment District, you can visit Jeffrey Auxer Designs, a glass-blowing studio and gallery where you can see Auxer create bowls, lights, chandeliers and gifts, or take a class to make your own ornament.

There’s art throughout the rest of the county as well, from the new 1,200-seat Ocean City Performing Arts Center to Bishop’s Stock Fine Art, Craft, and Wine in Snow Hill, to the Mar-Va Theater in Pocomoke City that hosts revivals of Broadway hits and cabaret-style murder mystery dinner theater.
