Frederick Arts Council
A thriving public arts and music scene
The arts-vibrant community of Frederick County supports an impressive number of galleries, theaters, award-winning public art, and arts collectives. Annual events like First Saturday in Downtown Frederick and the Frederick Festival of the Arts are centered around Frederick's arts and creative merchant communities, providing arts platforms year-round.
Frederick has a thriving public arts scene, including large-scale projects such as the interactive Sky Stage, as well as the stunning trompe l’oeil Community Bridge Mural by artist William Cochran. Theater-goers have world-class performances regularly available with shows at The Weinberg Center for the Arts and the Maryland Ensemble Theatre, in addition to a thriving music scene.
