Baltimore County is the place to try something new.
Between Oregon Ridge Park, Charlestown Chapel Series, Lurman Woodland Theater, Concerts at 3, or outdoor summer concerts, you’ll find any music style. World premieres of classical music at the Music in the Great Hall series and the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra at Goucher College’s Kraushaar Auditorium are frequent.
The Gordon Center for Performing Arts in Owings Mills presents a season of music, theater and dance for all ages, as well as the annual Baltimore Jewish Film Festival and Take a Leap Dance Celebration. A mainstay in the county for over 40 years, Cockpit in Court’s popular summer theater entertains at CCBC Essex.
New works from Baltimore County artists are on view at the Towson Arts Collective and Baltimore County Arts Guild in Catonsville. Visual and intermedia artists tackle challenging themes in the galleries of UMBC, Goucher College and Stevenson University. And have you ever heard traditional folk rhythms from Korea or Tuvan throat singing from Mongolia? Visit the Asian Art & Culture Center in Towson.
